    Hi!
I have had to update my address details so I now need a new licence. Do I have to send back my old one before they will send me a new one?
    Thanks!

When you fill out the D1 form you can declare your old one lost however you'll need to pay a replacement fee. If you send your old one with the form, it is free.

Hi there... Here are the options.

    1) Use the D741 DVLA attach to the licence when they send it to you. You will need to enclose your licence in this case. It only took a week for mine.

    2) Obtain a D1, and also include your licence in the envelope.

    3) Complete an online application, via https://www.gov.uk/change-address-driving-licence. They will send you the new licence first, but you will need to return your old one to DVLA as soon as you receive your new one.

Thank you so much! I did the online application so hopefully I'll receive the new one soon. Thanks for the help. 😊
