# How do I solve this simultaneous equation? Watch

Announcements
1. h = 50 + 2T - 4.9T2
h = 20t - 4.9T2

What do I do oh what do I do?
2. Do you mean three separate variables: h, T and T2? Or is "T2" actually "T²"

is there a difference between t and T is what he's asking, i.e: have you made a typo by writing t in lowercase in the second equation?

If so, just equate the two experssion you have for h together and solve for T as a quadratic.

Both equations are equal to h, so set them to be equal to one another. From there it's just a matter of solving the equation, a process with which I presume you are already familiar?

Thank you so much! And yes, I did make the typo - it's meant to be 20T not 20t. Sorry about that!

Cheers dude, you're fantastic!
