C3 graph help needed

Size:  312.4 KBHi I am trying to draw h(x) so I forced the bottom expression to go on the top, giving 5 as the y asymtopes. What I have done wrong ?

    y=5 is not an asymptote.

    \displaystyle \lim_{x\rightarrow \infty} \frac{2x+1}{x-2} = \lim_{x\rightarrow \infty} \frac{2+\frac{1}{x}}{1-\frac{2}{x}} = 2 so the asymptote is y=2

    With y asymptotes you are always looking for a value that the function tends towards as x goes to infinity. You can see that from your form if you separate it into 2 different fractions and get a form of 2+\frac{5}{x-2} and the denominator goes to infinity as x goes to infinity therefore you're left with 2 since the whole fraction goes to 0.
