do looks matter with friendships

    in order to be friends with the 'cool' and 'popular' kids, is appearance important? I'm friends with them individually but as a whole, I'm not part of their group.

    In high school, yes. But for some wonderful reason this dies down with age. I'm not sure if it's a maturity thing or that the older you get the more you realise looks really don't matter.

    But in high school, due to being unnattractive, popular people genuinely didn't look at me. Now I'm in my second year of college everyone talks to everyone.
