Should there be a public consultation to see which items are in the brexit deal?

    this doesn't have to be a referendum, but getting views from the public on what the Tories should take to the EU.

    imho, there needs to be free movement (or some quota system), and for the top economic sectors, such as ICT, manufacturing, pharma, oil and gas, financial services, and tourism.

    I agree, at least some attempt to discern what public opinion is other than wild conjecture based on a simple yes/no question woukd be worthwhile.

    Having David Davis conduct negotiations in complete secret from the public is the exact opposite of what should be happening.

    I see no reason for such a public consultation for years when there have been no end of reputable polls which have found that people essentially want the Canada option but would settle for Norway.

    no but then it's clear there would be some negotiation on specific economic sectors. we need to determine which ones, and people who have interests in them like jobs or businessowners need to put in their thoughts.
