Just found out that the funding for an NHS course is being cut next year. That could have really helped me as I am currently in full time employment, in my late 20's and living away from home with my partner. I have no idea if I would be able to do a full time NHS course AND still live in my flat. PLEASE can someone give me some advice on what I can do. Please tell me it is possible. I'm currently unhappy in education an would love to do a job helping people that would fulfil me.
    Thank you

You would need to check up on this for definite, however I think the cut off for starting a course with funding is August 2017... so that means if you had the right degree to go for a post grad course there's possibly a chance to start before the funding goes. For example the course I am going to start begins in January, and I have heard other people talking about April starts. Maybe worth having a look around.

What do you mean funding is being cut? Do you mean you will no longer be eligible for free tuition fees? This is now the case for all healthcare courses. There has been a lot of negativity publicity around this.

You'll get a student loan which will be more than the bursary however you will have to pay it back.
But I wouldn't worry. You're getting a loan and a lot of health care students work part time.
