Do A levels become 'invalid' after a few years?

Might be a stupid question, but I took my A levels in 2005 + 2006. I started university and left due to rushing into it without much thought... I want to go to uni but will only go when I know what course I want to do this time instead of giving into parental pressure!

Which leads to my question... if you don't 'use' your A levels to get into uni, do you have to do a refresher after a certain number of years? I know that's the case with GCSEs (a mature student at the uni I attended said that she had to resit all hers before being allowed to apply to uni), just wondering if it's the same for A levels, and if it is, how many years before they become 'too old' to use? I wouldn't want to have to do them all over again as I have good grades!

Nah, I'm sure they're still valid, as long as they're proper A Levels and you certified them. People go in as mature students decades after they did A Levels.

Good stuff, that's the answer I was hoping for

I think it's possible that eventually (and I mean a long time) your A Level will not really fit with the course, and you will need to take the new A Level (best to worst universities) or an "Access course" (middling to worst universities).

A few years is fine.

I assume the university you're going to in september is 'middling to worst' then? :p:
