    My as level results :BBBB
My form tutor has been bit of a pain since the start of the year. She keeps on telling me that i should try to study something else because there is no chance of me getting into this course.
I was panicking a lot for my exams, sleeping restless which may have pulled my grades down. However i do not think its fair to book me in as a bad student because of last years performance(considering most of these were mocks anyway).I need some advice , i have started o revise since the day i started sixth form again (revising both as an a2),on what should i do. Consider another course or are AAA's possible in biology chemistry and maths?
Thanks for any advice in advance

Are there any other teachers you can talk to? Maybe your subject teachers? Bear in mind that most teachers have been doing this for years so have an idea of what you're realistically capable of. It may be a good idea to consider other courses if your grades aren't up to scratch.

Is it realistic for you to take a year out between your A Levels and your degree? Whilst you can apply this year, your tutor is probably right to say you'll struggle to get medicine offers with those AS grades - you'd certainly be at a disadvantage compared to other applicants and would benefit from applying next year instead with A/A* grades if you can achieve them. What're your GCSEs like, and do you have a strong history of relevent work experience etc?

I thought teachers were meant to be supportive.

OP, it certainly is possible to shift your grades up to AAA at A2 but (1) it will be very tough and (2) you'd probably have to apply for Medicine or Dentistry post-A2 because I do not think it's likely they'd admit you on the basis of your AS results. If you are absolutely certain that you can push your grades up that far at A2 then you could do a post-A2 application but I think it may be a good idea to listen to your teacher's advice.

Advising somebody to apply for a course that they do not realistically think they will get into is not being supportive.

Supportive, yes, but they shouldn't feed the guy lies.
