So last week I was at school and felt really ill and went in for a couple of lessons, but decided to go home so I ended up missing a lesson later in the day. Anyway, I went home, got in my PJs and dozed for the rest of the day as I felt really bad. Then the next day my friends were all annoyed at me, saying I should have told them before I left or at least texted them to tell them I had gone home. Am I at fault here? How can I make it up to them?

Tbh they overreacted. It's not your fault because you don't have to inform them about everything. But saying that my friends and I always tend to message each other when we leave and stuff

Your choice. Of course if you'd planned to meet for lunch, then yes, you should have said something.

it's pretty normal to let them know what's happened but it's hardly something to get annoyed over
