how are some people really social?

id talk to them and they'd seem boring but would also be the party animals outside of school. i suck at socialising. are there any tips on how i can make close friends with pople rather than becoming friends with everyone. ive always noticed that im friends with everyone but havent necessarily been part of any friendship groups or cliques. How is it that the popular girls all become friends. Is it because they look good? ive noticed how theyre friends with the popular girls in the year below. whereas i see myself in no position to be talking to people outside my classes. Some advice would be appreciated. especially since uni's starting and i need tips on how to make "close" friends. any convo starter tips? i dont like awkward silences so i always talk but it makes me look like a creep rofl.

i go to an all girls catholic college and a lot of these popular girls have friends out of school. where did they meet them? its been a thing since year 7. There have been girs who recently joined collge, yet theyve made it so quick ot the popular group and i was wondering what it is that they do and their personality that makes them like this.

Advice would really be appreciated. Thank you all.

Try to be as nice to everyone as physically possible even if you don't particularly get on with them. This will increase your social stature as a nice person. Don't try to be forceful in changing your personality to new people. Be who u want to be and if people don't like you don't change urself just for their sake
