Am I entitled to any financial help as I'm a mature student

    Hi,

    I am studying a diploma in dental hygiene therapy at kings college in January.
    Wonder if there was any financial help available to me??
    I am 26, live independently from my parents, the course is funded my the Nhs. I did a course 2 years ago at university of Portsmouth higher cert in dental a nursing and I had a 24+ learning loan is this something I could I apply for again!?
    Or could you advise me where best to go for help

    Hi,

    If it is level 4 you would not be able to apply for another 24+ loan for this as they do not fund level 4 courses. If the course is funded by the NHS and you receive an NHS bursary you may be able to apply to SFE for a reduced rate maintenance loan.
