Hi all, me and my partner do not currently live together, we both have our own houses as we are happy to have a relationship like this. However, up until 16 days ago we had a baby and have not kong found out he has Down Syndrome; for that reason we are wanting to move in together to make his life more stable. I'm currently a lone parent with 2 children of my own, and she has 2 also from aprecious relationship, and now the baby we have between us.

My question is - what happens to our money ect... when we move in together. I currently live off my student finance, aswell as my child benefit and child tax. She is currently claiming Income Support, what would happen when we live together??

As I recall, the payment of the tax on the child really depends on whether parents live together. Although different states have different laws...
