    Hey!
Can anybody help me with this crazy dilemma - and quickly?!
I have just started at a uni and am feeling that it's not the right place or the right course for me (been there a week!)
Being persuaded to give it longer by family. However my question is:
If I re-apply through UCAS in the next month to 2 universities that I have ALREADY TURNED DOWN, do you think I will get another chance/another offer from them? I have the right grades and have got another qualification since my last application. Thing is I don't know whether to stay where I am for a year whilst re-applying in case I don't get offers or to leave now and re-apply. I have already had a year out. Is it unusual to re-apply to two places you turned down? I know they say they can't hold it against you, but how would you know they did if you just get a rejection? (They don't do transfers) Thanks!!

    They won't care.

Check the course website because sometimes requirements do change. You can't guarantee that the uni will definitely accept your grades this year just because they did last year.

Make sure your PS is good. You can copy bits from last year as long as you're sure nobody has copied - did you say your school could show it to the year below or anything like that? If so, it's best to stay again.

You will need to declare your current uni course. It's up to you whether you stay or drop out now. If you stay you'll get more overall debt, as you'll receive more student finance. If you drop out your student finance will stop and you'll have to repay any student loan overpayment immediately - can you afford to do this and still live, bearing in mind that your uni accommodation may no longer be suitable? Would you prefer to stay at uni, and so have to do learning in a course you hate, or would you be happier dropping out and getting a job somewhere like retail for a year? Would your family let you move back home?

You need to get this next application right. Student finance will cover you for one false start, so you can go to uni again and still have full access to loans. But if you make another mistake you won't get full finance to start again. Choose very carefully.
