    Morning all,

I was wondering if anyone has experience with National Grid for their assessment centre?

I've been invited to one for the construction engineering programme. The email states group exercise, presentation and an interview. I've already passed a telephone interview and was wondering if it would be the same kind of questions as the face to face.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hey,

I've just completed my telephone interview with national grid, I was wondering if you have been to the assessment centre and could shed some light as what to expect on the day?

    Hi,

Did my phone interview a few weeks ago. Was the usual personal questions and some about the company, stakeholders and what you know about NG. I prepared with answers from the graduate telephone interview questions that I found on here. Having not done a telephone interview before I found it OK and thought it went better than expected.

How are you all preparing for the assessment centre and what backgrounds do you come from? The bit I'm least looking forward to is the competency interview as I have no idea as to how detailed it will be! The rest of the day doesn't appear to be too bad from what we've been told so far.

Hey, I just did a ton of research about NG electric side, health and safety, construction and engineering procedures. The interview was fine to be honest, just the usual competency based questions - interviewers were extremely relaxing and friendly. Group discussion was as expected, just have to make sure you are enthusiastic and have your own opinions but understand other peoples choices. Site visit was pretty awesome! Spot the hazard essentially..

I come from a science/engineering background wanting to move into capital delivery. Received a conditional offer pending references!
