PGDE in Computing, Scotland

    Hello World...

First post n all that, I am an IT professional who graduated in 2008 in Information Systems and Technology, I live in Brechin (halfway between Aberdeen and Dundee) and I have an 8 month old boy who gets all the attention I can spare for him.

Anyway, I want to become a Secondary School teacher, and teach computing. I've looked around on UCAS and unfortunately the only 2 universities in Scotland that offer this course is Glasgow and Strathclyde.. to far for me to travel daily and re-locating not an option. I'm speaking to Glasgow about distance learning, but not looking promising, and waiting feedback from Strathclyde.

Incase these fall through, is anyone aware of other routes into Secondary teaching? or even any universities which would offer distance learning for such a course? I'm hopeful of getting into the 2017 enrolment somewhere, but seems a long ways away at the moment!

Do you have exam superstitions?
