no, providing you're not taking any early you will start the course in september year 10 + do the exams in june year 11.

Yeah...so coursework etc is started in year 10 -or maybe even in the end of year nine (mine was for core subjects *weeps*)...then you'll do some mocks me thinks? Or is that year 11...?

If you do a 'fastrack' or a short course GCSE then you'll take that a year early in year 10 but otherwise they're taken near the end of year 11 I believe
