Best services for trading a smartphone? I have a Galaxy S6 32GB. Just want to trade it in for cash so I can make the dent of purchasing an iPhone 7 a little less painful.

Honestly you'll get the most out of something like eBay. If you try to trade in to somewhere like CEX, Cash Converters, etc. they'll naturally give you a lower price because they need to profit on it. Likewise the amount you get from upgrade trade in schemes is often lower than the phones worth for similar reasons.
Since the S6 is a good, modern, high end device you should be able to sell it on eBay for a solid chunk. As a comparison CEX will buy a black S6, 32GB model for £160, or offer a voucher for almost £200. eBay has upwards of £200 for S6 sales. Naturally it's not quite so clear cut, CEX care about the unlock grade of the phone for example and eBay can be wildly up or down depending on the auction.
If you wanted to buy an iPhone from CEX then getting that trade in voucher might be better value. But then again they probably sell iPhones for more than eBay which might mitigate the advantage.
In general if you want cash in hand eBay (even after fees) will generally offer the best value but to know for sure you'll need to really compare things for yourself.
