Hiya! I need some help for writing a cover letter for a programme I am currently applying. The programme is called Legal Launch Pad programme, and its aim is to provide access to law or non-law students a wide range of opportunities in the legal industry. Successful applicants could have the opportunity to attend their training workshops, such as commercial awareness workshops.

The problem is, I think this cover letter would be slightly different from the ordinary work experience or placement covering letter in the sense that I am not actually applying for a 'working' position, ie, they're the one who is going to offer me help. (though of course I still need to show the skills I have that make me an ideal candidate-) I still don't really know what to write. Surely, I wouldn't even apply for their training workshops if I've already obtained necessary eg. negotiation skill.

No, it's exactly the same format, just with the 'answers' adjusted to the circumstances - so explain why you want to do the legal work this opportunity might lead to, why the opportunity with this organisation is a good fit and then give them evidence you've got the ability to make the most of the opportunity they are offering.
