Like can you just choose to think in a different language. When and why do you switch thinking languages?

I know two languages and can think with both of them. I mostly think in English but sometimes when im thinking, the words in English translates to the other language.

It just happens. After a while, I don't tend to settle on one language all the time.

That feels quite natural, but the strangest language thing I've found is dreaming in unexpected languages....
