# A-Level Physics Question Watch

1. Hey I do aqa physics and I'm stuck on a question from unit 1.3

The electrons hitting a screen have been accelerated through a vacuum tube and have each gained a kinetic energy of 6.4Kev. Calculate the accelerating pd.

I'm seriously stuck on this question as I honestly don't even know what is meant by "accelerating pd"

Accelerating PD = the PD = Potential Difference = Voltage required to speed up those electrons (accelerate them )
So you have 6.4keV, all I believe you have to do, is to get that value into Volts?
Know how to do that?

I think you times by 1000 to get to electron volts
not sure tho...
