    everywhere is going to charge you a comission but the post office probably won't gouge you too badly.

    my favourite way of doing it though is to wait for friends/family to go on holiday then let them buy them off me. win/win, they get more euros than they would have got from the post office and you get more £s

    Best foreign exchange (no commission, almost 100% realistic exchange). Never use the Post Office or banks because they will rip you off. Badly.

    Otherwise local sellers. In Peru I went up by 10 soles as I got better bargaining. I also got a better rate than all official places.
