Space sector apprenticeships and funding

University Navigation

I'd really like to get involved in this area but have no qualifications past A-Level and 6 years has passed since getting those A-Levels. In that time I've worked in kitchens, and over the past couple of years as a gardener. My spare time has been spent playing video games and dabbling in all kinds of subjects so I'm concerned now with steps I can take to get make up for what is to an extent lost time, and eventually get my foot in the door. I'm interested in being able to see the "big picture" so I think maybe project management or design work would be my focus. With the lack of evidenced interest on my CV I'm not sure I'd be able to get funding for the Loughborough space apprenticehip program but if there is a company that might help fund me simply given my A-Levels I would love to know who they are and what I can do to secure it.

It may be that I ought to grab an apprenticeship in any engineering field to begin with, I should certainly look up relevant events to speak to and learn from those in the fields.

Any advice would be well appreciated.
