Hey, I was wondering whether I could get onto a Paramedic Science course in University with Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care. I don't want to start the Extended Diploma and then at the end of the two years find out that I can't get onto the course.

    -Can you?
    -Grades needed?
-Probability of getting in as I heard there aren't many places
-Have any of you got onto the course with this qualification or any other?

    Thanks!

It depends on the uni. My friend does this course and is applying to do paramedic science as well.
I know for Hertfordshire you need an A-level science along side BTEC whereas for Anglia Ruskin the BTEC on its own is fine. Each uni is different so it's best to look at their websites to see what their requirements are.

To increase you chances of getting in you should apply to do first aid training or any other related stuff with the British Red Cross, St. John's ambulance etc

What about a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Performance and Excellence)? It includes Anatomy and Physiology units.

If you want to study at Worcester then yes they will accept it. I'm sure there are a few more that would accept this qualification
