I've got a job interview next week at Cineworld and I'm really nervous as it's my first ever job and I was just wondering if they decide to put me on the tills do you have to work out in your head how much change to give back to the customer or does the till tell you? I can do basic maths but it's not my strongest subject so yeah I'm kind of nervous for next week.

The till will tell you. You just have to collect the right amount

The till will tell you in 95% of cases.

The 5% are customers who decided to throw more money at you at the last minute for their own sake (so they don't get coppers back or something like that).

Well, the percentages are complete BS, but it occurs often enough for till workers to complain about it.
