ill be applying for physics soon to universities like st andrews, oxford nottingham surrey brimmingham (not finalized for some)and ill be doing physics chemistry and maths for alevels. We didnt have any as exams because of the reforms so ill be doing alevels directly next yearIm predicted A*A*A (might get A*A*A*)Now, i want to take AS further maths even though its not really a requirement problem is because of the reforms i dont really know what to expect witht he new exams so i didnt want to risk it and overestimate myself since id have to self study it. I want to put to put it in my UCAS but if i decide later on not to do it would it cause a problem with the universities even if it wasnt part of the offer? Thanks

If you include Further Maths in your application then you can't just unilateraly drop it to suit yourself because it changes the terms of your application.

You will have to check first with each of your offering universities and ask if you can drop it. They may say yes, or no.
