An archer can fire arrows with a velocity of 60m/s. The target is placed 50m away and at the same height.
a) At what angle to the horizontal must the archer aim to strike the target?
I got an answer of 3.9 degrees.
The bit I'm struggling with is b): In order to obtain this angle, he must aim at a point above the target. How high is this point above the target?
Any help much appreciated. Thanks!
