Pain in testicle

hi everyone. anon for obvious reason tht this is embaracing.

since ive been about 13 (18 now) i had a growth in my left testicle. went to doctors and it was diagnosed as a varacus vain and was nothing to worry about. its grown in size but its never hurt and has caused no problems at all and the doctors told me its fine.

but in the last week or so its started to hurt. and the other day i was training and we were doing star jumps, into squat thrusts, into star jumps, into thrusts etc etc etc and it was hurting so so so much. i stoped but said my asthma was kickin in.

im reli reli scared that there sumin else there and that the doctors might of been wrong =[ im gona go get it checked out.

has anyone else had this problem or sumin similar?

It could be epididimytis. I had it and was prescribed pills for it, which cleared it right up. If it's only the left testical then it could most definitely be this (as it only effects the left ball and not the right).

This is why people ignore medical advice from people on the interweb, not only is chronic epididymitis rare, usually lasting between 6 months and year but it's painful.

********, are you thinking of a variocoele?

Just go to your GP and whip 'em out, maybe explain the problem first though or it might be a bit of a shock for them. They might be able to tell you why its started hurting and whether theres anything that can be done about it.
I've had the same thing. Had several doctors and nurses feeling my sack up for lumps but nothing there, just the pain. They sent me to hospital to have an ultrasound done on them, which some nice chap did while we talked about how The Simpsons is really clever with it's constant layered humour.

In the end, the best guess any of them could give me was "groin strain" and apparently it could take 18 months to heal, assuming you don't aggravate it more heh. Long story short, it took about 12 months to go and seemed to be brought on by certain exercise, especially situps oddly.

If the docs say there's nothing wrong, there probably isn't. Don't make the same mistake I did of thinking you have cancer or something and wasting you life worrying, it's too short as it is!

Man take it or leave it, I don't care if you're some testical expert. Was only trying to help the guy out.

Yeah, I think the point is that telling people they might have some disease completely unrelated to what they do have isn't help.

Indeed, people that turn up in a headache thread and tell them that their best friend once knew someone that knew someone, who went to school with someone that had a headache one day and found out that her brain was actually eating itself, and that you should 'check it out before you die a horrible, horrible death', does not help. At all.

ive has the exact same thing part from in my right ball. it could be a sist ( or cist), thats like a samll growth that can occur on any part of the body, but on the ball it can be really painful when it flares up. if it is a sist you can have it removed but it can come back, but you dont have to and its not to seroius if pain can be managable

Or cyst, perhaps.

I got this, in my left ball. It hurts now and again. I noticed it when I was 16 and now I'm 19 and it's still growing in size. I've been to the doctors 3 times about it and they all say it's nothing to worry about tho.

If you're worried go to the doctors mate.

i've had the same thing before, just go to the doctors, get a rather awkward examination, and he will prescribe you some pills. Happens from time to time, just make sure you do examine yourself from time to time though, just in case.

Look, all I've done is three years of medical and surgical training and two general surgery rotations. The most important things I learntl; to check my facts before posting and to refrain from giving out unsolicited, unverified and incorrect medical advice whilst hiding behind an anonymous username.

If you want to play 'yer man whatever', go right ahead, you're the one who's looking like an ignorant ****.
All those qualifications and you post medical advice on a student forum? How the mighty have fallen. Tell me, were you also on ER and did you perform testicular operations?

Someone has little-dick syndrome.
Maybe someone is a medical student?

All those qualifications and you post medical advice on a student forum?Oh yes, that would be when I told Anon1 that had a rather improbable disease based based on nothing except it was the only ******* problem I could think of.

Now, this is the point where you admit you are a bad troll and **** off.
