Can I carry a knife with me on a train?

    It's illegal to carry weapons on you in a public place unless it's less than 3 inches long and you have a good reason (i.e: ceremonial or religious)
    If it's in your backpack I think you should be fine

    You can if you want but I think it would only be a problem if it was on your person (i.e: you could easily get it whilst in public)

    something tells me a bow and arrow would be easier to get away with than even easily concealed weapons..people will just think youre a psycho or going to a lord of the rings convention

    You need to prove to the authorities lawful authority or reasonable excuse. If you cant its an offensive weapon. You are going to be pushed with a bow and arrow.
