In your analysis you really need to zoom in on each word do this by choosing shorter quotes and then analysing a single word from the quote and also include subject terminology e.g Stevenson presents the difference between Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde through the use of the (verb/adjective/simile/metaphore etc). This (verb/adjective/simile/metaphore etc) connotes that ( and then put the effect of whatever it was here) . To a Victorian reader this woud have been (put context here). And that should get you top marks ! Hope it helps

Your analysis is quite good but in order to improve you would need to say after the context how a reader back in the period the book was published would have reacted. Then you could also say how in contrast how would have someone in the 21st Century reacted. Furthermore you could say what the writer, Robert Louis Stevenson was trying to do by portraying Hyde in such a way. Ive realised you have not talked about Jekyll which is the main question. You can compare the two characters and talk about why Hyde acts in such a way? Is it because he has no conscious and no social pressure to act in a certain way which the Victorians had?
