    Explore the importance of the time period and the importance of the context of the play to the characters/relationships/themes/ideas.

    A more detailed question from you, rather than a cut and paste essay title, might produce a better response. I would imagine your teacher is expecting you to research Elizabethan attitudes to love and the expected behaviour of daughters of Juliet's social class. You could also do a quick search for 'Elizabethan tragedy' to find out why the relationship was doomed before they had even met; Shakespeare's audience would have expected a particular ending.
