Doing A-levels over 3 years, because of changed course at start of Year 2

    Hello,

I did poorly in my AS levels this year, this happened alongside the realisation that my course was not what I wanted to do, or enjoy.

I'm now taking a new set of AS levels, triple science and English lit, really enjoying my course, and doing well. I'm also doing AS maths outside college, which is going well.

My only concern is, will universities reject me or view my application as less desirable if I changed my course around after the first year? Would if also affect any applications to do Medicine?

I'm planning on studying in Canada or the US, but views from UK uni's are needed as well.

If you are taking entirely new subjects, it won't count as a resit year. While you will need to list all grades attained, your prior achievement will most likely be discounted in leiu of your new AS grades.

Would I be required to list the first set of grades, even with a full set of AS+A2 grades in my chosen subjects?
