How do I do A? Plz can someone just show me the working and explain y?
3. You've been told what X and Y are and need to substitute them in. Use the laws of indices to help. For example you know:

Ab x Ac = Ab+c

Therefore you can work out:

2p+q = 2p x 2q

and since you know what 2p and 2q are you know that 2p x 2q = X x Y = XY

If you don't know your laws of indices then go find them out before you continue.
