Ahh I wish I'd had the foresight to think about oxbridge too. All the best, hopefully this time next year this forum will all be a distant memory

I applied to three unis. 1 was a 'wishful thinking' choice if I can call it that and is Oxford. The other two are BSMS and Leeds. I too like BSMS and it's my first choice, I'm hoping to get a favourable reply!
Hopefully the decision is favourble for all of us!

Thanks  are you a grad too?

Non grad access applicant, think we all applied to Leeds ha ha ha

In a similar situation to yourself. Similar GCSE and A-level grades plus a 2:1 in BSc Biochemistry. Got 16.3 in BMAT.
The wait is real. Hopefully the decisions are favourable for all of us!

Feel like this is my last chance, so many unis are increasing A Level requirements for Grads to like BBB, my two Cs were so close Bs as well 🙄 Just want an interview!!
In a similar situation to all of you...

In my final year of my degree but with atrocious stats:

GCSE: 1A*, 6As and 3Bs
AS: BCC
A2: BCD (bad I know...)
Degree: Predicated 2.1/1st in Biomedical Science
BMAT: 16 with contextual data

I'm just so anxious to hear back!

Three of us!

2A*, 6A, 1B. ABC.

2:1 Biochem.

5.9, 4.0, 4A BMAT. Score of 19, or in Leeds terms 14.4.

Also in a similar situation... I applied to medicine last year in my final year of my BSc with a mediocre UKCAT and got rejected by all four without interview :ashamed2: So decided to try BMAT this year...

BMAT 17.8
1st in Medical Neuroscience
A levels BBB
GCSE's 4A*, 8A
Predicted distinction in MSc Clinical Neuroscience

feel like this is my last shot and last year really knocked my confidence :/ hate waiting so much, but good luck to everyone!

I hate waiting...

They'll probably hand out interviews towards the end of December so we've still got a bit of a wait but not quite as bad as some of other unis

Does BSMS care when the MSc results come out/is awarded?

Does BSMS care when the MSc results come out/is awarded?

as far as I'm aware they take in to account your first degree rather than your masters... but anyone correct me if I am wrong. It seemed to be a common theme across universities I applied to they only take your BSc and didn't take in to account MSc

True. They just need a 2.1 in your first degree
