Help I can't do BMAT!

    I'm applying to UCL, Nottingham, Sheffield and Cardiff having managed to get 750 UKCAT average which I was pleased with. But I am reallly struggling with BMAT. I can't do section 1 at all (especially problem solving) even untimed, I have a book and I've already been on a Kaplan course. Has anyone got any help??

    I mean, do try to fix the problems you're having first but...

    Have you considered not applying to a BMAT uni? 750 UKCAT is pretty good and should guarantee you 4 interviews if you apply wisely. Its an option.

    I did think about it but I've already applied to UCL now - didn't find a UKCAT uni I preferred :/

    Hi there!

    First of all - don't worry, everybody finds aspects of the BMAT difficult so please don't panic!

    We have a selection of BMAT preparation advice on our website for the different sections here (Section 1 may be particularly useful for you):
    - Preparing for Section 1
    - Preparing for Section 2
    - Preparing for Section 3

    Have you considered tutoring? This may help to tackle some of the problems you're having in a one-on-one setting which may be more helpful than a course with many students in. We run BMAT tutoring sessions which you can book through our website if you think you may find this helpful.
