    Hi there,

Just wanted to ask if anyone has gotten onto this course with anything other than A*AA, and also without maths?

Also, what are the options for a sandwich year abroad, and what are your overall thoughts on the course?

    Thanks in advance

are you looking at any specific programs? Some selective unis require A*AA with maths for this course, example BSc Econ & IR at LSE or Warwick. But there are certainly other unis with softer entry requirements for this course.

    Hi thanks for your reply.

I'm looking mainly at the economics politics and international studies course at Warwick. They don't explicitly say they require maths at A level, but just wondered whether more maths students were given offered than those who don't do it- like me.

Warwick econ department is top 5 in the UK and is known to be quant focussed in its teaching. For your course, Warwick lists A*AA. You can contact coordinator about A level maths requirement.

"Applicants must have achieved either A* at GCSE (or equivalent) Maths, or include Maths as part of the subject profile offered at AS/A2 Level."

Reading BA IR & Econ requires ABB-BBB with a B in GCSE Maths.
