Should I retake my GCSE English Language and Literature course? Watch

    • Thread Starter

I recieved a C in English Language and a b in Literature but I want to do medicine and most ask for at least a B but prefer an A. Do you think it'd be worth to retake them both alongside doing Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Geography for AS.

I received the same grades as well. Fortunately I was 1 UMS away in all exams, so I got them remarked and got my Literature to an A while, Language stayed the same. I ****ed up on Language because I started from Question 1 instead of Question 6 but I don't like the exam anyway. What I am doing because my Language coursework grades are at As is resitting the Language exam during half term so I recommend you doing the same by asking your head of English and exam officer ASAP. Coursework gets carried over too. Good luck!If above fails, then if you can handle the work then it's worth retaking just to secure the grades but UCAS will show you retook it and unis might expect much higher grades but if you improve then they can't really say much.
