I've started a levels and I've chosen psychology, law and media. When I picked my a levels I had a strong desire to become a psychologist. However, after a while I've been more interested in business and management. I was wondering, can I still do a business/ accounting degree even though I don't have maths, economics or business a level? I have a grade B in GCSE maths. I'm not that good at maths, however I have a sibling who's an accountant and said it requires simple maths.

If you dont enjoy Maths then Accountancy isn't a good choice! Some Economics course are very Maths focussed (ie. Bristol) and insist on high A level Maths grades, other Economics courses are more social science focussed and therefore may have different requirements and not insist on Maths. Business Management usually does not usually require Maths beyond GCSE.

There is no short cut to finding out which courses dont require Maths - you'll just have to check entrance requirements but as examples, Economics at Reading and Bournemouth might be possible (http://www.reading.ac.uk/ready-to-st...economics.aspx OR http://www.reading.ac.uk/ready-to-st...economics.aspx). If you decide on Business Management then again there are courses that are less Maths focussed - Bath or Middlesex (http://www.bath.ac.uk/management/courses/undergraduate/ OR http://www.mdx.ac.uk/courses/undergr...ess-management).

Thank you so much! Do you have any idea what jobs are available through a business management degree?

economics at degree level are VERY mathematical. Thats why you need maths a level because you use those equations and apply it to economics.
    You could do business?

Yeah I really want to do a business degree. Will they accept me with the a levels I've chosen as they don't relate to business?

I'm going to be honest, your subjects well most of them are listed on the not preferred part because you're taking media and law which are not strong a levels
    maybe take history or geo?

It's too late for me to change. Does this mean it is unlikely for me to do a business degree?

No you can still do a degree in business but if business if offered by the very top unis then they may see your a level subjects as pretty weak. what unis do you think you want to apply to?x

UCL is on top of my list. I've looked at requirements and it just says ABB and B in both GCSE maths and English. I'm not sure if this means they accept any subjects as they haven't stated esential/preferred subjects? x

Why don't you resit maths and english language? and good you're resitting english language because you need a minimum of a B for good unis
they are good, if you get an A in maths and an A in english language those are a good set of gcse's
With a strong PS, good gcse grades and good extra curricular you will get it! make you you work hard consistently because your predicted grades will be from cross years x
