Basically this thread is to get your top tips for travelling I'll start

If your traveling to and from the uk or to a hot country to any cooler country for that matter or in mountains invest in a pair of trousers that can zip off at the knee so you'll be comfortable with the temperature at bot ends and in the mountains at night.

In order to acclimatise yourself with timezone's and to minimise jet lag instead of eating at the normal meal times of your current country- fast and try to eat at what the meal times would be in the country you are heading to. That way you don't eat an extra meal that is the equivalent of eating dinner at 7am in the country you're going to!
