    Has a unique sequence of amino acids bonded by peptide bonds.
    Every 3rd amino acid is glycine.
    Left handed helix.
    Composed of 3 polypeptide chains coiled around each other via hydrogen bonds.
    FIbrous so no hydrophilic groups pointing outwards.
    Contains staggered ends.
