talking to guy online but he's really blunt

    • Thread Starter

so a guy messaged me the other day and we got chatting and we have loads in common and he seems like a decent guy. we live 2 hours apart so if anything actually happened it would be a ldr and would mainly consist of chatting online. He always messages me first usually but yet he's so blunt? he obviously wants to talk to me if he messages me first but i'm so used to being with chatty guys who send me long paragraphs whereas i'll ask him how he is and he'll go "i'm good" and that's it and i always have to carry on the conversation somehow. he also never asks about me at all i feel like i ask him so much about his life and he'll never ask me anything back. (e.g i'll ask what his favourite movie or music is and he'll answer quite bluntly and not ask me mine) idk he seems to be quite introverted though and we have so much in common i don't wanna give up but this small talk is actually killing me help

It's only a guy online, don't be too hopeful. Maybe he cant see he's being blunt or just doesn't want to talk. Maybe if you guys called he'd be more chatty

I'm like that, I'm just really blunt when talking online and not really chatty, it might just be how he is. In person or on the phone he might be more talkative.

my advice: find someone else who is more interesting. Plenty of other apps out there!
