Would halfords car paint match/Scratch repair kits be able to fix it, or would i need to take it to chipaway or a bodyshop?

    Thanks in advance for replies

It really depends how good a finish you want. Providing it's only a scratch and hasn't actually dented the bodywork you'd be able to cover it with an appropriate paint. Colours can be an alright match but might not be perfect. It is of course the cheapest way of repairing it.

If you want a professional job then you'll need to take it to a professional. Personally the scratching looks pretty deep and may require more than a bit of paint but it's not entirely clear from the photo. I would take it to a specialist and ask for a quote.

Looks quite bad, I'd get a professional to repaint it. It'll cost around £200-340 depending on where you live.
