I recently read a warning about St.Andrews saying the place is extremely boring and no-one does anything.

Is this true? Or did one guy just have a bad experience?

    What's the maths course like?

    Thanks in advance :^)

Do you like clubbing? Don't go to St Andrews

Do you like societies/sports/pubs? Come here. The restaurants are pretty good too. There's a very strong community and it feels very homely. If you prefer urban life, you might find it a bit boring. However, I used to live in London and I wasn't disappointed with St Andrews. People seem to take issue with the lack of clubs but I think that's kind of specific....

We have a limited high street in terms of shops (compared to a city but it's pretty good for a small town) but honestly you'll be okay, you're only 30mins from Dundee which has a shopping centre in the middle of town if your desperate for good retail therapy. We have a cinema as well.

I did maths and enjoyed it. Most of the lecturers are approachable and helpful. It's particularly good if you have an interest in statistics or solar theory (not sure about the pure side as it wasn't my interest).

    Sounds perfect to me, thanks!

Well everything is subjective and I suspect this guy/girl had some above-average expectations.

As for my experience, I'm not a massive clubber nor shopper and I had a fantastic time there. Can't tell you how good the Maths course is, I only did one module. Your experience is what you make of it, unless you have some high expectations you can have a good time if you really wanted to.*
