A lot of these dating/lifestyle coaches seem to advocate a game playing style of philosophy and other aspects of a sort of Californian/vaguely American High school dating culture which doesn't really fit in with the decency, fair play and integrity of our own traditional courtship rituals.

Instead of all the game playing, social media manipulation and all the other adolescent guff, people would be better off going back to the culture of pre-2000 where you would have no other choice but to meet birds on a dance floor or perhaps rely more on the extended family/community networks. Better that than what we have got these days with 40 year singletons, teen mothers and the vast majority of under 30 y/o women acting frankly like cowardly conniving little *****.

Decency, fair play and morality are their own rewards. Having to compromise those for short term pleasure is not a victory.
