In terms of pursuing a career after your degree, does the University of Bath have a respected reputation and how's the employment after an undergraduate degree?

Also, does the University of Bath have a good department for politics and international relations, if you know?

    Hi there!

I'm Chris, a second year Computer Science student at Bath. It's great you're considering Bath - I've really enjoyed my time here so far.

The University has been ranked seventh nationally for graduate prospects, according to the latest The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016. The Guide, which overall places our University 12th out of 127 institutions, highlights how 85.2 per cent of our students will have secured employment or be pursuing further study six months after graduating.

It underlines how at Bath: ‘Most undergraduates take courses with placements, in the UK or abroad, or a period of overseas study, which helps to produce consistently outstanding graduate employment figures. Bath’s performance in this area is the strongest among The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide nine performance indicators.

‘With nearly eight applicants for every place, it remains among the most selective universities in the country. But those who win places generally do not regret it: Bath finishes near the top of the National Student Survey and achieved the best score in the Times Higher Education student experience survey of 2015.’ (Source: http://www.bath.ac.uk/news/2015/09/2...ty-guide-2016/)

I couldn't possibly comment on the specifics of the politics and international relations course, however feel free to browse the department’s site (http://www.bath.ac.uk/study/ug/prosp...nal-relations/)or contact the admissions department via email or telephone to register yourquery (+44 (0)1225 383019 or [email protected])

Hope this helps - if you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask!

    Chris
