    Hiya,

I have found out that I have cancer. It's hit me hard taking the news.

Has anyone got any ideas of how I can try to make it easier?

Sorry to hear that. Have you been put into contact with anyone you can talk to? Have you been told what the plan is?

No I haven't been put in contact with anyone. I've got to go back for a plan in a couple of days.

I don't blame you for feeling overwhealmed. It's big news and a lot to get your head around. I suggest you talk to Macmillan. They offer support for people with cancer and their families/ friends. You could also talk to a doctor, religious figure (if you are religious), counselor etc. I'm sure there are also forums for it too. The main thing is you don't have to do this alone.

You have an appointment in a couple of days which should cover a lot of things and hopefully things will start looking up from there. There have been loads of advances in cancer treatment and there is still loads of research going on. You have a lot more hope than you would think with all you usually hear about it. Please try to stay as positive as you can and dn't be afraid to get support.
