Is there anything wrong with me?

Hi,

Before I book an appointment to see the doctor, I thought I'd have your opinion.

Right, occasionally when I walk in a bright and sunny day outside or inside. I get this sensation in my head, I can't explain it. Everything goes blurry for a few seconds and I loose all control of my body and then it goes. I'm scared its epilepsy or something wrong with my brain :frown: What do you guys think?

My mom's sister is epileptic but its not photo-sensitive. I'm really worried about it. I used to only get it once in a while but I've been getting it quite often. Its not psychological as its only now I've realised that there may be a problem.

Thanks x

There is nothing wrong with you. It is just a little bit of head rush. I get it all the time when I have been in a hot place, it is caused by getting up too quickly. There is nothing to worry about .

It's worth getting it checked out, but it's most likely something in the head-rush / migraine area. I don't know much about epilepsy, but I imagine you'd have more or worse symptoms if you had it.

i think i might get something similar to what you decibed if i get out of bed to quick!! but if you're really worried aobut go see the doctor, but it doesnt sound too serious.

Happens me all the time mate. It's because of the extreme brightness or heat etc.

Nothing to worry about, but goto the doctors should you want confirmation; don't worry they'll never say 'Don't be stupid' to any genuine problem you feel you have.

Yeah, it happens to me too. I've been kinda worried about it in the past, but I've learnt that it just happens when you suddenly move - most notably when you've not had much sleep or it's hot. I've made myself a promise that the next time I go to the doctors I would ask about it. Don't be a stuborn male who won't go to the doctors!

it might be your pupils adjusting to a change in brightness levels. they change size dependding on how bright a light is. if it's dark they are big to let as much light as possible in and get smaller the lighter it is. if you make a sudden change from dark to light your pupils change size quickly causing you to loose focus and become momentarily dizzy and things go fuzzy.
