    Hello,
    I am currently a sixth year student, studying to get my highers to get into uni.
    I'm starting to write my personal statement and I was wondering what did you include in yours, any tips and what work experience and volunteer work is good/essential for getting in or standing out?

    Some sort of work experience is essential, but it can be any sort of caring role, it doesn't necessarily have to be in a hospital or directly related to what you're wanting to study. Don't forget to look at local things rather than just national organisations. Even sitting in on a support group or shadowing a professional for a day is really useful.
