What's with Poland?

Why is the Polish government banning abortion? I thought that the total ban that's basically the minimum (only to save lives) couldn't be made even worse.

And yet the new christian government is making it even stricter, with total ban. Total total. As in 'raped 12 year old' total. Is anyone able to explain the madness?

We shouldn't dictate how other governments legislate their religious beliefs into law. We should respect their choices.

How is talking about it dictating?
It would also need to pass basic issues such as the ECHR.
This is why I'm glad the religion in the UK is slowly but surely disappearing. The church & the state should be separate.

Soz ik this is a small bump but they've now gone back on this after all of the protesting that occurred.

Thank ****ing God Poland didn't take 1 step back into the dark ages.
reaction from a Catholic population against the forced secularity of the WarPac years combined with a population distorted by migration outwards to the richer EU nations over the past decade +

forced secularity of the WarPac years

Wasn't the Pope Polish? It the secularity was forced why was he even allowed out of the country?
Please do more concrete research before falsely assuming something.
Poland going back to this the dark ages, when their country is already in enough s***.
Abortion for native women should be restricted, it reduces the white birth rate.
...isn't abortion also basically banned in ireland as well...?

There's nothing racist about wanting more natives who are a better ethno-cultural fit. I'd take the same opinion for any non-white country.

I really don't see why diversity is in my self interest.

JP2 was a Pole, but that was years ago.

Erm no, we should. If you don't question the status quo, you'll never bring about change. I'm sure many women in Poland don't want the government to "dictate" what they do with their body.

You laugh however if you want a decent state pension then your choices are basically to either cut spending elsewhere, raise taxes or increase the number of taxpayers which means either importing a lot of immigrants or increasing the birth rate.

At any rate you'll note i said restricted rather than banned. I certainly don't support the religious nutjobs who are fine with rape babies.

Copped it in 2005 i think. He was then replaced by the German pope (to quote Mock The Week, 'it was'nt the first time that a German had occupied former polish territory' )

People are taxpayers, the UK needs more taxpayers to maintain its pensions and other spending. Since i'd rather the country remained Polish/British or wherever, the optimum solution is to increase the birth rate.
