Hey, Im in my first few weeks of uni studying computer science. I am expected to (6*6 modules) 36 hours private study a week outside of lectures. I have so much work, im stuck studying nearly every minute of everyday except for eating and 1 hour gym per day. I have no life anymore. I think im working about 55 hours a week private study as I really want a first. Im doing a course ive never studies before so Im already behind most people who know the basics. How do you guys manage ur time at uni and how many study hours do you do per day. Thanks x

At uni its often about quantity rather than quality- studying smart rather than 100% all the time, especially so early on into the degree. Look at what you are doing and ask yourself 'is this essential?' and then work out if any non essential stuff can be cut out. *For example when it comes to extra reading you don't need to read the whole reading list, just maybe a couple of items and skim over them, especially if the module is coursework only.*
