    Hi,

So I didn't get a 2018 TC, I had interviews but missed out on the final selection. I'm going to apply for the 2019 intake but this means I will have a year after finishing my degree before starting the LPC (assuming I am successful this round).

I am planning on filling that year doing paralegal work so I was wondering how I apply for this and when do applications tend to open? I heard it is around summer with a view to starting asap but if anyone has any more info on this I'd really appreciate it!

There isn't a recruitment cycle like there is for TCs - paralegal vacancies tend to be advertised on an ad-hoc basis as and when a vacancy comes up.

You would need to start searching for vacancies around 6-8 weeks before you want to start work. Any earlier than this and you probably won't be available for when the individual firm wants you to start. A lot of people who are graduating find it difficult though given this usually hits with their final exams/preparation. Many won't apply until exams are over.
